Welcome to  Blackthorn Hill Retreat Hazelnut farm

A Self Contained Holiday House in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia

A 3 bedroom self contained dog friendly holiday house, fully equipped throughout, with private pool on a 25 acre working farm, sleeps 6 comfortably (8  max).  Nestled in the middle of 100 acres of  vineyards , approx 10 mins drive from the Hunter Valley Gardens.

Concert Information :-

 

Book a door to door Wine Tour with gourmet lunch, and experience some of the great local wines, cheese and chocolate.

Enjoy the pool, overlooking the two neighbouring vineyard estate’s in the heart of pokolbin.

Soak up Nature, and relax the mind body and soul, with a visit to one of the local award winning day spa’s.

Enjoy a BBQ in the Huge Outdoor lounge area with Balinese daybeds and double hammock.

Go Horse riding, Cycling, or Hot Air Ballooning and watch the amazing sunsets from the return veranda at the end of the day with a glass of wine.

Secure fencing around the immediate house (0.9mtr lowest point) wooden post construction with wire mesh down into the ground.

Pet clean up bags & complimentary treats

* Note: We have a no vaccination no booking policy, we like to protect all our doggie visitors

Thank you for a fantastic time, we loved it at Blackthorn Hill Retreat! Great house, great company (from Angus the dog), great views, you have it all!! Our dogs Bear & Indi were upset to leave, they had the best time ever!!! We will be back for sure.

“Anyone wanting a special place to stay while visiting the Hunter Valley, then Blackthorn Hill Retreat is the place! We had such a wonderful time, so much so we stayed an extra night. The house, pool and surrounding countryside is second to none, Claire and her husband made us welcome and we just loved Angus (cutest dog) who was excellent at greeting, well mannered and friendly. We have some very special memories of our visit to Australia and our stay at Blackthorn Hill is at the top of the list.

“Saw 4 Kangeroos bounding past the pool this morning!!! Such a restful little holiday for us. Need another few days to totally veg out. Lovely and comfortable house, thank you Claire, Dave and Angus the farm dog
